As a strategist, I do so by defining strong positioning, narratives and communications strategies. My strength here lies in translating this into daily practice, so that employees experience what they can contribute and organisations achieve their goals. No matter how tough the going gets, I always look ahead to the next step and the ultimate goal that an organisation wants to achieve. My approach to the job is especially powerful and cheerful. I keep a cool head during crises, having earned my spurs during major crises at companies including Transavia, combined with the intuition to read the room and get everyone on board. I’ve done this previously as a strategic advisor with my company The Smart Engine, from which I also brought a database of over 700 interim professionals in communications and marketing.

I have worked as a manager bearing final responsibility, consultant and interim manager in energy, healthcare, aviation, housing, industry, business and financial services, education and other sectors. At Van Luyken, I am responsible for the pillars of consultancy, crisis and interim solutions, and can therefore be deployed for strategic communications advice and implementation, crisis communication and brand development. I also provide temporary capacity for clients when necessary.
