Ten Commandments for writers
The question 
The letters that we sometimes send to citizens are dreadful! They are complicated and full of jargon. No wonder people fail to understand them. How can we teach our staff members how to write readable texts?
The answer 
We have devised a special short training session for that purpose. The “Ten Commandments for writers”. Ten rules with which a business text should comply. If you are familiar with them and apply them, you can write a good text. You can use the same ten rules to evaluate other people’s texts. They help with making specific, positive and concrete comments. In the space of one afternoon, in one training session, participants can become familiar with the Ten Commandments and apply them. The participants’ own texts serve as exercise material.

Because the participants work with their own texts, they see how easy it is to improve their writing skills without devaluing the content.
