An organisation decision that reads like a novel
The question
We involved our employees closely when drawing up the plan for a new organisation for the municipality of Haarlem. Everyone cooperated enthusiastically, but the plan is now a bulky file with marked difference in style in the text. How can we make it readable?
The answer
That is just up our street. Editing a text to which dozens of people have contributed. From the hundred pages of text we extracted the essence and expressed this clearly and concisely.
The result
The bulky file became a reorganisation resolution, 65 pages long with two appendices. “It reads like a novel”, concluded the Haarlem Municipal Executive. From this resolution we extracted text for a four-page folder, intended for residents who wish to know how the municipal executive is organised.
