A distinct image for internal services
The question 
We have placed our internal services in the field of P&O, finance, IT and facilities under one department: CIS (Corporate Internal Services). This department should be given a distinct identity within the total organisation. In addition, we wish to improve access to the services for our employees.
The answer 
Heineken’s CIS department has approximately one thousand brewery managers as its internal clientele. They are spread across the globe. We have formulated an internal communication plan, developed an individual house style and an internal newsletter. In addition, in collaboration with an organisation consultancy, we have developed the structure and content of a new intranet.
The result 
The house style and newsletter have given CIS a new identity within the organisation. Familiarity with the services and what can be expected of CIS were the logical result. This has led to a more oriented use of these services.
